I planted this clematis 2 years ago, it was in a box and was suppose to
be a "polish pride". Is this the real name for it? It's really beautiful and
is over 5 foot tall with lots of blooms.
Thanks for any information on it.
Bev
What is the name of my Clematis?
It looks like clematis "Blue Light"..makes you wonder HOW they could get 'em mixed up..those two are as different as Night and day!!
That's what happens when you purchase Clematis from 'big box stores'. They don't know one from another.
Thank you, Jeanne TX and Shirley1md.
Yes, thats what happens when you buy things in a box!!
Well, I don't have any idea what "polish pride" looks like,
guess I'll have to check the files, but I sure like this one.
In this case I'm glad they were wrong about the name.
I'ts a beauty and growing like mad.
Bev
Jeanne TX, Lucky you. I'll keep looking for one of those.
What a beauty. I wonder if they would grow that good in
Wisconsin? We have such odd weather here. Monday
the temp. was 90 and this morning it was 40 when I
got up. Hope you are keeping dry enough there, heard
Texas was flooded in a lot of places.

Bev..thanks for your concern..I live just north of Houston on Lake Conroe and we really didn't get it as bad..we had glorious rain..every afternoon a rainstorm..I shut off my sprinkler system dayssssss ago as my grass was so soggy but all my plants are loving this...Here is a pic of my "Polish Spirit" totally..it's on the right..it should do well there..it's a pruning group 3!!..I'm doing to divide it this fall..it's too much here!! I really did underestimate the vigor of this one..it's year 3 and this past spring..I saw about 30 vines sticking straight up and thought OMG!!!!!! what have I done!!
Jeanne,
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!! You have a lovely garden.
Bev
WOW! That is a pretty one. I am not sure what it is but I am sure someone will answer. Can you tell me how you got it to bloom so much!?
