What is this bird?

I love these little birds, but I have no idea what kind they are.

That looks like a Carolina Chickadee...we have their close relatives, Black-Capped Chickadees here. Very entertaining, sweet birds!

What a cutie! Listen for their call... a low, throaty "chick-a-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee" Hmmm, hard to describe, but once you hear it you know it... Let me find a link with an audio... Go to http://www.birds.cornell.edu/MacaulayLibrary/search/freesounds.html and click on the chickadee.

Thanks for the link Critterologist! Junebug, you're right, it's a Carolina Chickadee. Yesterday, I was rebuilding a fence and left my mirror-tinted sunglasses on the H-post. A while later I went to get them and one of these Chickadees was fighting with his reflection in the glasses! He was so into it that he let me get about 2 ft away before he finally flew off.
