Problems with IE

I keep getting an error message that says, "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down." Then it goes on to tell me that any unsaved info will be lost and that they are sorry for any inconvenience. I'm really tired of this. Does anyone know what I can do about it? (and please don't tell me to use Firefox instead. LOL I've been there and had problems with it bogging my PC down and freezing up on me.)
