Son's having ear troubles (wax build up)

I have used warm olive oil and a heating pad and we can't break it loose. He can't hear out of that ear either. WE knowthat this is the problem. (the wax build up) cause it's happened several times. One time I took him to the Dr. and the Doc stuck this instrument down there and got it all out. Liked to have killed my son, so we won't go that route again.

Looking for a home remedy besides the warm olive oil, cause it's not working. One time it took us 3 days with the warm oil and th eheating pad before we got it back to normal again.

Any ideas?
