I adore the textures and their contrast in this little corner. The mazus behind the cactus and around the small lilac escaped from a container last year and is forming a nice mat. Can you see the stubs in the dark red container where the blasted Bambis came to graze? That was my fav a few weeks ago before DDD (devastating deer damage.) Venison anyone?
I know what you mean about the deer. I didn't know they liked hosta's. We have hosta's around the house and they never touched them, but I planted some in barrels near the driveway. In one night they ate everyone of the hosta's but never touched the coleus or other plants. I guess I'll need a list of their likes and dislikes.
