Does This One Have a Name?

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

I really like it and wondered if there might be a name on this one. The gardener who gave it to me just knew it was a canna.

there are many spotty ones, could be picasso if its a medium hight.

It's 4 feet to the top of the blooms. Is that medium?

Hi Judy will post some of the new seedlings blooming shortly. Linda 4' sounds medium, the ones Judy mentioned, like Cleopatra get upto 6' and over. The other thing is that it may not be a named variety, could be a pretty cross that you have in your garden, I have many.

Well, it probably is a cross, since the spotting doesn't cover about the whole bloom like the pics I find of Picasso. I'm happy with it just the way it is. Just had a couple of people ask the name, that's all.

I have that very plant my wife bought me. did I save the tag. UH no

If it does not set seed, it could be the green leafed version of 'Cleopatra'.
The spotting is like that.
If Cleo, it should at some point show some sold red in the bloom.
I have had the green version show no red except the spots for awhile.
But then out of the blue, the solid red will surface.
If you see hat, it is 'Cleopatra'.
I have also gotten this green leaf/yellow bloom version under the name 'Spanish Flag'

I believe I have that same canna also. Bought it at a local nursery. They aren't real good with names though. Like the last ones I bought were named canna variety mix. Oh well. Sorry but I do love that canna.
