Ladybird eggs are yellow, not sure about the shape of yours as they look more flattened but the photo is blurred. It also looks to be a lot more than some pics show, but there are different ladybirds or lady bugs.

Looks like the eggs of a Lady beetle.

Click the link on this page http://www.ag.ndsu.edu/pubs/plantsci/pests/e1228w.htm that says "(Click here for a 14KB color photo of lady beetle adult, eggs and larva.)"

These are beneficial bugs!

It sure sounds like them, How long to hatch? I found them on the 17th but all the pics I have looked at doesn't look like them, and I have been hunting, these are the only ones I have found and I haven't seen any lady bugs around.
I almost lost the bottle they where in my hubby thought it was a empty water bottle and but it in the recycle bin, but I found it.
Still at a loss Tilly

Lady beetle eggs are football shaped, sitting on end. The color is right, but the shape is wrong.

Keep that bottle until they hatch! LOL!

My guess is they are a moth which was my other thought, and there are some very nice moths. You don't have to kill them even if they do eat some of your leaves, Buddleja make a lot of leaves and will grow new ones.

I love to see moths and take pics if I can, they are part of the enjoyment of growing plants and attracting insects to the garden. They are also food for many other insects.

I found a pic of some moth caterpillars but not yours, there are pics on a pbase site somewhere if I can find them or you could check the BugFiles here.

These sites may be useful but it could take forever to find anything unless you have an idea of what type,

O my now I wish I never found them. I couldn't kill them anyway and I have them in a jar and I guess I am mother hen now and don't know how to feed her babies. Doesn't that sound weird. I put some Rose leaves and some Alder leaves in the jar but they won't leave the parent leaf.

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Could you put the leaf on the original plant so it's wedged where they can move to a new leaf?

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Feeding them other plants won't work. They are quite plant specific. You'll need to put buddleia leaves in the jar for them to eat.....

It is very difficult to ID first stages of a caterpillar. As they grow, ID becomes easier. It's hard to find photos of first, and frequently second instars....

They are getting bigger I put some wild rose leaves in the jar and they love it.
They are changing to a green collor will send a new pic. i am not ready to send them out in the world yet they just might eat everything, until i know what they are. I am still looking but to little yet.
Thanks Tilly

That's some great documentation there! I hope you put it in Bug files - hard to believe there's only one Wooly Bear caterpillar picture in there so far.

I'm glad you told me that I have there hold life so far and will keep them until they turn in to moths.
