Hayes Starburst better than expected

Arlington, TN(Zone 7a)

In our second year of growing this selection of our wild native H. arborescens, I am very pleasantly surprised how beautiful this plant is.

It could give Annabelle a run for the money, and than again she is hard to beat.

That is absolutely gorgeous!

I have been growing White Dome, and Samantha for years, along with Annabelle, but will need to add Hayes Starburst.

Let's hear it for the arborescens!

What is that little red x with the box around it? . How do you open the photo?

Thanks

My eensy weensy Hayes Starburst is blooming, too, for the first time, and I have to say to all you who don't have it--its spectacular, even when small. I've heard its a bit fussy about dry versus wet etc etc, but mine has proven completely hardy and happy when planted under the same conditions as other hydrangeas (I'm growing 'Annabelle' mophead and an Oakleaf right beside it..).
