Newly Planted Bananas - is wilting normal?

Santa Cruz, CA(Zone 9b)

I just planted a Chinese Yellow and Rajapuri 3-weeks ago. The Chinese Yellow get's full-sun morning to mid-day, then filtered sun from the Eucalyptus above. The Raja is ful-sun all day.
The leaves on both seem to be turning yellow rather quickly and wilting a bit during the hottest part of the day. There both in loam soil, pretty well amended, and stay moist with 1GPH drip watered 7min 2x a day, 3x week.

Is this yellowing/wilting normal?
Any other suggestions for making these two big and strong?

Thanks in advance!

they look ok to me from the picture. The Raja puri leaves are turning yellow ( 2 leaves) from where the midribs broke, but that would be expected. They will soon put out more leaves and really start to take off. I don't know how much water that is that you described ( the 2x7min) but if your drip is slow, it may not be enough if there isn't rain. It is hard to tell how wet the soil is with the mulch on top.
You didn't mention any fertilizer-they are heavy feeders, and would benefit from a good (micronutrients included) slow release fert with a high first and last number.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, the water might be of the light side. I'll adjust.
