The weed hacker (aka the kid with the &$#^&%$# weed whacker) cut the greens off my potatoes. Will they grow back or is it all over for them?
Is this...the end?
If they were to the blooming stage, most likely. Use them for new potatoes. earlier in their development , they will recover to some extent.
They were no where near blooming. Only about 6" tall. I usually put markers where I don't want him to cut, but who knew he'd attack the compost heap???
I have a 16 year old son. I have to be extrememly specific when allowing him near anything green around here! My condolences. My other baby, a 100 lb weimaraner dog, jumped in the garlic bed - from the looks of the paw prints, he just bounded in and out - about 10 garlics were smooshed over (a third of my harvest). Boys!
LOL, yep, I have to take my son around the yard everytime he weed eats and tell him what's not to be weedeated.
It doesn help when they speak English...
