Has anyone successfully grown a clematis on a black walnut?
What type of clematis?
Did you give it additional support or did it successfully attach to the rough bark of the tree? (I'm thinking it will need additional support to get started...)

Black walnut and clematis
I haven't grown one ON a black walnut tree, but I grow a couple under them. Both do quite fine. 'Duchess of Edinburgh' is one and the other one was identified as 'Wada's Primrose.'
