Every year I end up replacing about half of my cucumber seedlings due to "damping off." I know this is caused by a fungus and have read that the use of a copper fungicide will prevent this. I also read that spreading a thin layer of sand on the soil around the seedling will help by keeping the soil surface dry. Have any of you been faced with this problem? If so, can you offer any advice?
Thanks.
Cucumber Seedlings/Damping Off
When starting all of my seeds, I use a combination of water & peroxide to prevent dampening off.

Kanita, thanks. I'll give this a try.
