Salt Tolerant Plants..

Metrowest, MA(Zone 6a)

I made a mistake last year which was our first year in our home and my first gardening by rushing out to buy a shrub to plant at the end of our driveway. I didn't even think to check to see if it was salt tolerant and needless to say it didn't make it through the winter. There are quite a few bare spots that I can't get grass to come back next to the road where I would like to plant some type of shrubs or groundcover. Any ideas out there of what would work in this area?

TIA
Mel

Hi Mel, Try doing a search on "salt tolerant plants" new england on Google. You will get several choices. Seaside plants are a good option. Just check for zone. Cyndie

Mel, I have Bonica roses, a "no fuss" shrub rose out by my curb. They are doing well.
