Resizing photos in Vista

It used to be with XP that if I wanted to resize a photo I just right clicked on the file name, then clicked on resize and I could be done in a couple of clicks. It would save the original file and the new resized file, if I wanted to. It was SO easy, just a couple of clicks and I was done. I didn't have to open a new program and mess around.

So am I missing something? Please tell me there is a way for me to do this in Vista.
