hi...i bought this last fall during clearance time at lowe's...i bought a firecracker, two ramona & two ville de lyon....the other ville de lyon bloomed at least a couple of weeks ago and had/has much larger blooms...today i noticed this little bloom with several beginning to open which are about the same size as the first
any ideas?
i think this is the one that is mismarked as the other bloomed true to picture

It could indeed be Ville De Lyon, Clem. is funny in that until it's well established 'til then, it will show off its true beauty. Be patient, and wait a while to see its development. My Ville De Lyon bloomed last month. All blosoms are spent now. Not many could show off red as this one. So congrats. And hang on.

From what I can tell..it does look like Clematis "Ville de Lyon"..she is pink and red edging on the tepals....Like this...Jeanne
thanks....it just seemed odd that it is so small while it's buddy, the other ville de lyon, is much larger....i LOVE the color :-)
