allgr8dogs, keep posting pictures!:-)

Here's my Adenium swazicum with a flower bud (hopefully it won't abort due to lack of sunshine):

Hey Martin,
you have some awesome caudex growth. My adeniums kept struggling here, until I finally realized they were getting too much sun. Since they aren't getting as much sun they've been doing so much better. I think that's why they're finally blooming.

WOW. I have 3 arabicum that I started from seeds, years until I see plants like that. I have a young swazicum with a funny caudex, it may bloom this year.

I kept it in a high light, high humidity environment for faster caudex growth, in with my African Violets and Streptocarpus. I noticed (from cruising their sites) that the adeniums grown in Viet Nam seemed to have faster and more awesome development. Their growing conditions are warm and humid. I talked with a Vietnamese man (used to be a plant buyer for Home Depot) and he said when he grew adeniums there they provided superior drainage, high light, some shelter from the rain (to a void too much water), weak feedings with every watering (until dormancy was about to happen) . Apparently Adeniums like humidity, and frequent waterings as long as it runs off quickly.
