Rose leaf help please

Winchester, VA(Zone 6a)

I think I have mites ... or a fungus?? I asked on another forum but with only one response. I checked the files... I can't ID the problem. So, I sprayed with Oil Shield for pests.

what do you think this could be?

The rose appears to have a mosaic virus .. if it is, the only thing you can do is destroy the plant .. since it does not affect flowering some people just ignore it. If you keep the plant and take flower cuttings, make sure you clean your clippers with alcohol before moving to another plant.

The columbine has leaf miners. Won't kill the plant .. just unsightly.

You might wish to post the rose problem in the rose forum as well.

Thanks! So, if I don't care if the leaves aren't perfect, I can just keep going as they are?? I can't bear to lose them. They are only about 1 - 2 years old!

For the columbine, I'd ignore it .. for the rose, if you are growing lots of other roses next to them, I'd probably destroy the plant rather than infect the rest of them .. if the rose is by itself then leave it.
