This iris was given to me several years ago. It multiplied quite a bit and this year I have a lot of blooms. I was told it was a Louisiana Swamp iris. Most of the Louisiana iris pics I see are so full and flat, not really like this one. Can anyone tell me what type of iris I have? It looks a little more blue in the picture; is really dark purple with light yellow/green streaking in the throat. Ruth

Skimper, I think you may be right about Full Eclipse. I love the Louisiana iris at the Woodland Iris Gardens site. I'm going to have to look for more info on Louisiana iris and maybe order some more............they had a variety of colors. Ruth

Hey skimper, I'm having my doubts whether it is Full Eclipse..................the petals look so much more slender in my pic.
Did you ever get a good ID? I have the same iris and never found the ''just right'' ID. Whatever it is it is old mine came from my Grandma 40years ago.
Guess all I really found out for sure is that it is a Louisiana Iris.
