daylilies from garden to pot

Ottawa, KS

As I am moving, I would like to take my daylilies with me. I have only 5 (three varieties). I have gotten a large pot, but am not sure if I should cut them back after I plant them, or just leave the foliage alone. They were so beautiful when they bloomed--I'd hate to kill them! Thanks!

They have bulbs. You kill them cutting the foliage. If you want to cut it, whack it. It'll grow back. If it freezes where you live the leaves will die anyway when it does.
