Can you name me several different clematis that do well in some shade? My mom's yard is gorgeous and she is slowly getting into clematis but she has this one big tree that does give a lot of shade...what clematis would you suggest for part sun and part shade? TIA :)

Also though, I have a C. Polish Spirit on the north-west facing wall of my house; gets direct sun from the mid afternoon only and grows well and flowers abundantly every year. I have C. Comtesse du Bouchaud beside it and sometimes it does really well and sometimes it does just okay. I tried Terniflora there too, but it didn't come back this year. Probably best, since it can take over the neighbourhood, and we're moving next year.
