Let's hear some opinions on this. Hopefully this can be discussed in a civil fashion! Not only has virtually every business realized that being perceived as green is beneficial, but we also have some of the 'bad boy' industries now pushing products & services that are green. For example, there are oil companies producing solar panels. We have former polluters producing 'clean' energy technologies, etc. Here's the question:
Should consumers forgive and forget and buy these products? Should they be boycotted? Should they be made to redress their past actions, as in the case of toxic dumpers, etc., before their products or services are purchased? Should we simply be happy that they have 'seen the light' and are now doing the right thing? Why doesn't their current push by itself make up for the past just like consumers can 'make up for their shortcomings' by purchasing carbon credits??
