cuc diagnosis?

Brainerd, MN

I grew cucs very successfully last summer in this large 20 gal tub. As you can see in the photo, one of the leaves has developed an odd coloration. Too much water?... root rot?...in too big a container too soon?... not enough fertilizer? I'm hoping this is a problem I can catch and fix early before my plant dies. (The actual color of the discoloration is sort of a tan.) Thanks in advance for ay suggestions you can give.

Is this from seed or did you buy the plant? Did you just notice it or has it gradually gotten worse? It looks environmental, in which case you could just pick off the leaf. But if you grew it from seed and this emerged over time, probably something else.

I did grow it from seed and I'd say the discoloration appeared almost overnight, about a week or so ago. What to do?

It doesn't appear to be a fungus, bacteria or virus, which is why I think it's environmental. Keep track of it, and if something more happens post another photo. Can you think of any reason for it?
