I am fairly new to growing clematis. I have four plants which do beautifully in my garden. The flowers are large and plentiful.
For the first time, I thought I would bring some of the flowers to work to "show-off". I cut them and wrapped a wet paper towel around the stems. By the time I got to work, most of them had drooped and before the day was over, all of them had drooped.
I guess clematis are not for cutting.
Cutting Clematis' to bring inside
They're best left in the gaqrden to show off.
They have to be recut and put in water immediately..they can last 5-7 days depending on the variety
