Fruit from El Salvador

Commerce, TX(Zone 7b)

When I was younger and living in El Salvador (San Miguel) I fell in love with a fruit that looked like a giant green bean. It had shiny thin black oval seed spaced like vertibra and the meat of the fruit was very very white in color and very sweet tasting. The name I remember it by was "Cu-shin" but it may have another name. Anyone know this fruit?

Yes! zarcanat That is it!!!! Thank-you! very much. I had heard that it goes by different names in some other countries. I wonder if this tree could survive in the U.S. ?
