Anyone know what this is
Need another ID
No idea but you can send it this way :o) Love those leaves.
phick;
Look up Bitter Gourd on PF, if my memory serves me right, it's It. I've several vines out in my garden, though still very young. This edible gourds are mainstays in the Orient. High in vatimins, but not very good on the palates as its name implies.
p.s. Could someone educate me on how to bring other's links to our post? I'd appreciate very much. As I'm technology-challenged.

Momordica, balsalm pear, bitter melon ?
It is balsam pear. The scurge of Florida. Quick get the Roundup!
Lily,
Once you are viewing the message you want to copy the link from,
use the cursor on your mouse (the little line thing) and place it in the
address toolbar, typically seen above. If your address bar is not showing,
let me know and I'll walk you through that. :-)
If you do see it and can put your cursor in the toolbar, some browsers
automatically highlight, so all you have to do is left click, then right click,
then scroll down to COPY and click that. When you are in the thread where
you want to put the link, simply press the right click button on your mouse
then scroll down and click PASTE. Wa-la.
You can also do it this way...Once your link is highlighted, hold down the
CTRL button (usually on the bottom left of your keyboard) and push the
C button while you are still holding down the CTRL button.
Presto. You have copied.
Now to paste it, simply hold down the CTRL button again and press V.
Presto. You have pasted.
To highlight if your browser doesn't do it automatically, put the cursor
at the end of the link, then press down and hold the left click button on
your mouse. Drag the cursor over the entire address, then right click on
your mouse and copy the link.
There are still yet different ways to do this, but one of these methods mentioned
should be easy for you.

The one Paul has is a different variety of Balsam Apple and is very invasive down here.
I have been trying to get rid of mine since 1990 and can only keep it in check.
This is the one Paul has.

Bettydee has came to the rescue! Whew, thanks Betty. Consider this is "Solved" Happy gardening.
Does anyone have seeds for this?
A friend of mine was kind to shared some of the seeds those were soaked and ready to plant. Mine promptly sprouted, and the young seedlings are now a few inches tall. This can't stand the cold wheather here, thus straying seedlings is NOT a problem. Marie, perhaps you could send me some SABE in the falls.

Marie
Which seeds are you looking for. There are 2 different species being discussed.
Sorry I guess I could have said which kind :o) (Blonde lack of sleep moment)
The one Paul has. Momordica balsamina
Or if you know of a source for these.
I'm usually fighting them off all summer and I could let a couple go to seed if you like. Just be sure you're in an area where you get a good freeze. LOL
That would be great. It does get really cold out by me. I get temps that get in the low 20's. Oh and 118 in the summer. So chances are if they make it through the heat the freeze will get them!!
OK
Remind me in a month or so and I will fight off the urge to take my frustrations out on them. Now where are those air potatoes when you need them....
