Wind power

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

I was urged to post this based on a comment and query I had posted on a thread so...

I live in an area where we have quite a lot of wind even in the summer it will get breezy or windy by the evening. We live near a huge windmill farm in a town nearby and 45 minutes away in Bakerfield there is another huge windmill farm. I heard that they are not hooked up to the power grid( which is wierd) so I have no idea what they power.

I live in a part of town that has acre properties or more so I don`t know why people do not start going in together on a windmill like they do with our community wells and share the $20 k cost and save on electricity and help clean up the air in the future as well.

What do you think of that idea?
