Yet another discarded bottle idea...

Hulbert, OK(Zone 7a)

Hello all,

I realize you may be tired of me posting about glass and
bottles, but I just can't help myself. They are in abundance.
LOL

Okay, so you have a tiki torch. A plain, ordinary wicker-wrapped
boring tiki torch on a bamboo pole. The cannisters are black metal
or clear plastic. Oh, how boring!

Coincidentally, in playing around with one, I discovered the top of
the cannisters will fit on a Perrier water bottle, as well as a cobalt
blue small Lynx water bottle. These look neat sitting on a deck railing,
on stepping stones placed about the yard (as long as you don't
have little ones running around) etc.

You may have to experiment with twisting the tops onto different
containers, but make certain they are clean and dry before filling them
with Citronella oil.

The photo only shows the caps screwed onto two bottles, but one could
play with this idea in many ways.

You could drill or poke holes in the outside rim of the cannister cap, then
use jump rings to add strands of beads hanging down which would reflect
the light when the lamps were lit.

If you save the caps from the glass bottles, you can use them as ready to
go cannisters already filled with oil for your standard tiki lamps. Pop in
a new one and you're good to go.

Play with the idea and have fun, and remember, reuse, reduce and
recycle!
