Encore Azaleas

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Can anyone tell me if these azaleas really do bloom in another nice flush in the fall? or just generally, what is its habit?

Cincinnati, OH

Encore links are covered in the coral discussion. I think some are two flushes and some are somewhat continuous with a smaller second flush

The spring flush is usually the best one here in Zone 7b Texas. They take a break, a month to two months, between flushes; this is when they grow new flower buds. The next flush I get will be in June-July and the last one is in early Fall. There may be some random flowers at other times but not much to speak about or photograph. Due to the local weather conditions, you may not get a flush sometimes. For example, last year we had a drought, was very dry and I hardly got a peep (flowers) during the summer.

Ah, it's much cooler here than in Texas so perhaps I am a bit more assured of a rebloom.

I have found the 2 plants thaat I have of this type to be marginally hardy but will bloom only once for me in my zone 6 garden
