And another seedling same cross
The cross between Cimaron Rose X Touch of Mink is a keeper. I also like the white and yellow in Post #3473321. Just lovely.
Anita,
How do you grow pure arils in your garden? Do you dig them after bloom and store them over summer? Or perhaps grow them in pots in a greenhouse? Are they oncos or regelias?
I'd love to be able to grow pure arils, but I can't imagine any way I could keep them alive here.
Laurie
I Love Arils but I have very little time to baby anything and I do not have a green House Yet
I made a bed that is sloped and mix of 50% topsoil and mixed in pea gravel, sand and compost. I have increased my collection every year with the ASI sale some live some don't Regelia are supposed to be more hardy the Oncos but I am trying those as well. I have some 3/4 oncos that are surviving and blooming like Persian Padishaw, Masada's Glory and others. Those I lost are not necessarily these but OGB- and OGB. I also have some species seeds germinating treated just as I do all my seeds, in a pot out in the weather.
:)

I'll Take some Pictures this am of the bed
Oh, so you're growing primarily arilbreds and not pure arils. I know you're growing at least one pure aril (Turkish Topaz). Are you growing any others?
In your seedlings above, is that one cross with an aril or an arilbred?
Laurie
I. hogiana R
Kiosk AR
Imaret AR
Sunflight RB
Teucros RC
Anita,
Just so you have the correct information for your breeding program, only I. hoogiana and Teucros are arils. The others are arilbreds. Kiosk and Imaret are oncogeliabred, and you have Sunflight correctly identified as regeliabred.
