2 Irises, ID, please?

Hi, these are coming up and the person I got them from had no idea of the names..any help appreciated. If you need more pics of the purple, I have them, thanks!

So the Iris people have no idea what these Irises may be?

With so many registered cultivars, it is almost impossible to positively ID a NOID. There are so many that are almost identical. What is usually suggested is to buy another cultivar of what you think it might be, (from a reputable source), plant it right next to the NOID and see how it compares.
How tall is this iris? Early, mid or late season ? Purple base foliage? There are so many details to consider.

They are both beautiful, enjoy !!

Thank you Granny...and this is why I knew I did not know enough to try and name them. They are tall, stand about 2 feet high or so.

I know NOTHING about details to an Iris....I just think they are perty:)

The ruby one mostly resembles Sultan's Palace to me so far...the purple, who knows. lol

Some lady was digging them up a couple of weeks ago and I took them home and planted them. They have been blooming ever since.

I have plenty of pics..I will try and add more tomorrow.
