That would be Neil Mogensen, not Neil Mogenstein.

Is R-19-1 one of Neil's also?

Lebanon, OR

sorry for the typo Laurie, but knew if anyone would catch it you would...

Yes, it is also one of Neils. His widow has given me permission to name and think I will name it Neil's Finale...

Fitting.

What is so special with these is the style arms are almost total white.

All of those are just beautiful! I love the first one and your Blueberry pie! What a talent you have!

Thank you Janet...just Blueberry Pie is mine..rest are others creations.

Doing more crosses daily, just the medians since none of the TB are in bloom yet.

Lots of stalks and color but no bloom

Is there somewhere I can go to see how to do the crosses? I would love to just try and see what I could do...they are magnificent!!!

Here is a site that also has pictures of what to do...very helpful.

Thanks so much! I have never seen those "parts" on an Iris before..I will be lifting peeking between some petals in the morning! LOL

Wow!!! Denise...................those are dynamite looking irises!! How I wish we could grow SDB's here. Those blue beards are breathtaking! I love Neil's too. It's a shame he passed on. But, Power Woman he left with us and for us. What a blessing! It's on my wish list!!

Thank you for sharing those Denise. Do you have any waiting in the wing for 2009?

Janet, you'll love iris hybridizing. It's another fun, yet can be addicting habit that only iris lovers can have!! I wish you luck!!

Yes, Neil has left us a special gift. Great iris from a great man.

Rod's has great form, color, stalks.

Mine ditto.

Yes, I have about 10 that once I see them in 2nd year clumps I will decide for sure.
