I bought a topsy turvey planter because we have black walnut trees and have not been able to plant tomatoes in the ground. Woe is me, I thought I could use a garden pole (black iron) to put it in the sunshine. Well, nothing I have is strong enough to hold the fully planter topsy turvey. I don't have anything overhead to put the screw in to hold it. Any suggestions?
Topsy turvey planter
I would go to Home Depot and buy 3, 8', 2"X2" Pressure treated sticks and make a tripod. Tie them all together at the top and buy a Cherry mater. Have fun !!
Thanks for the suggestion, will try it out.
And if "pretty" sticks aren't important to you, ask if they have any warped ones. I bought several that were slightly warped, but still usable for that purpose, for only $1.00 each. Since I wanted more than what they had set aside as warped, the HD person helped us go through the stack and find more warped ones. = - ) The completely straight ones were $3.27 each.
