When do you plant your beans?
It's my first year trying them. I'm planting purple podded pole beans and Royalty purple pod beans (bush type).
Apparently it's better to wait until the soil is thoroughly warm before planting beans, otherwise they rot.
It would be great if they grew well. Purple beans would look so pretty in the mouths of the squirrels as they raid the garden.
When are you planting your beans?
I grew royalty purple pods last year! And I'm going to grow them again. They're so pretty. Everyone is so impressed by them, so fun. Easy to find them on the plant to pick too. I planted my first planting May 11. They did fine. I also did successive plantings later. For me, these plants were pretty prolific and kept producing.
