pink lily of the valley

We have purchased some lily of the valley that is supposed to be pink. Maybe, if you try really hard, you might be able to detect a faint pink blush. Does this plant take several seasons for the bloom to develop a pink color? I am just wondering if this is the case, or if I got ripped off.

Hi. Watching this thread. I got some in trade last fall and was counting on seeing pink flowers later this spring.

I'm also curious to hear your reply as well since I have just plants some of the pink this spring along side of my white.

There is definitely a pink form of this plant and it is very pink. if you can't detect it you might have been "done". However I'd give them a year or so to settle down and they may come true.

I thought it was a very light pink blush.... Really, there is a very pink version? All the ones I've ever seen are a light pinkish...

I too have the pink form, I remembered them as being light pink in years past. I went out and checked on them. They are starting to go by, they are medium pink toward the base of the stem and lighten up toward the tip of the petal. If someone has a 'very pink' variety I would love to see pics.

my pink ones seem to get darker each year, however, still are a soft pink, not deep pink

I will see my first blooms in a few weeks. It's been very late spring for me :( I can't wait.
