I believe the common name is a "Bottlebrush" shrub but can't remember the latin name.

It does look like a "bottlebrush" or callistemon. We have three in our garden currently in bloom. They often get admiring comments and I love the fact that their flowers do indeed resemble "bottle brushes." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bottlebrush

Welcome, Sam! Actually, I think this is a Calliandra haematocephala, or Powder Puff - maybe a relative of the Bottle Brush - the leaves are larger and shaped differently, and the bloom is more half-globe shaped, rather than "bottle-brush" shaped. My Aunt had these in the Orlando, Fl area when I was growing up - I had no idea they would survive as far north as Callaway! Hope you enjoyed your visit there! (PS - love that name! 'cause mine is Samantha, but most people call me Sam!)

Where at Callaway did you take this? I can't tell from the picture. If it was anywhere outside it is definitely a bottlebrush shrub. Callaway has many of this outside in various locations. However, if you took it inside the butterfly center then that is the powderpuff. I know there is atleast one powderpuff in there, but no they don't survive outside around here. I think it is maybe the powderpuff in your photo. Here is my photo of the powderpuff in the butterfly center at Callaway from last year.
