Ivy, "be gone"

Never say die! Or, maybe that's die, ivy, die! I still check the variegated vinca bed daily, and have only lately stopped finding sprouts from roots I missed. Ditto with the pachysandra, only I find roots putting up new growth every darn day. And I patrol a 10 yard area daily for Labrador violet seedlings, because if only one goes to seed again....well, you know. At least you don't have to worry about seeds with ivy? Funny how all of these were plants I just loved when I first put them in the ground. Sheila

That is a winter chore. Neighbors behind our newer property do not garden nor care for their yard. Everything slips through the fenceline (including weedy trees, grrr!).
I have a large pool of ivy in the back that my friends who are professional lawn folk are going to have to deal with. I hate chemicals, but it is time to bring out the big guns!!
