Anyone recognize this volunteer that has been growing up my oak tree for the past 3 years?

At first, I was happy about the evergreen vine, but the more I look at it the more it reminds me of an invasive privet. I've never known privet to climb the side of something, but that doesn't mean anything. Here's a closer shot of the leaves.

Euonymus fortunei, wintercreeper.

Pretty annoying pest plant around here. As it climbs, it is able to flower/fruit (versus not doing so as a smothering groundcover). Thus, birds eat fruit and deposit everywhere and you get these vines coming up at the base of trees.
