Is there such a thing as a true red MG?

Painesville, OH(Zone 5b)

I don't want dark pink...I want fire engine red. Is there such a thing? I'm sooo tired of misleading packaging!!! If it's dark pink, why can't they just say that? What vines do have a pure red flower? I know that cypress vine can, but I want something with a larger flower. Tamara

I do know there are red mg's but I think most are smaller flowers. You should post this question on the MG forum.

I bought some red picotee off ebay once, the picture in the auction was a very true red morning glory, bu twhen I planted them they were more purple. I was so very disapointed. I would have to say no on that, but i'm no professional morning glory grower, Even the red japanese moonflower vine isn't a true red. but is still called that.

There is a true red passion vine, I think it is vitiflora. The flowers are large and profuse bloomers. If I could figure out how to scan pictures from my new camera into the computer, I would send a picture. Pam
