pergo flooring question

Can any of you handy people out there tell me if pergo flooring planks need time to acclimate to the room in which they are going to be installed? I know hardwood flooring needs to sit in a room a minimum of 48-72 hours before installation, but I have no idea if laminate flooring requires the same acclimatization period, if any.
