Help help...does anyone know where to get strawberry plants this late? i ordered some time ago from Parks's nursery( twice) and they messed me up...twice! now i have no strawberries & it's getting late for this area. I'll start a bonfire with the next Park's catalog i see.
i saw some rave reviews of a nursery that sells thems in an earlier thread, but i cannot find the thread now.
buying strawberry plants
You might try Miller's, http://www.millernurseries.com/

My local garden guru says they're the best place for any type of berries... for fruit trees, he gives the edge to Stark's. I bought my strawberry plants locally this spring, but I got some nice raspberry canes from Miller's a couple of years back.
Try calling the local nurseries. I bought some at mine last week.
I just received some from Starks that I ordered last Saturday. I ran out from my first order. I had checked locally and they are all sold out and can't get more. We had those real hard freeze days early in the month and I think a lot of newly planted stock was lost. Starks keeps them dormant so these look real good.
Peaceful Valley Farm Supply has the really large quantities on sale for 50%. I ordered a set of 25 plugs of Seascape from them late in the season but when they still weren't sold out. I couldn't get around to planting them 'til a week or so later and few had survived. So if you get them, get them planted immediately.
I planted the sad specimens anyway, hoping the roots were still alive even if the leaves had rotted. The two that looked even a little healthy survived and one that looked dead has come back. I'm hoping the others will too.

Foggy
foggywalk,
If Nourse Farms is out try Raintree Nursery in WA. I ordered 75 Eversweet strawberry plants from them. Got more than 80. They were HUGE roots which took off like a rocket.
