I'm getting this message when I try to upload photos from my camera to my computer. The camera seems to be working perfectly, so is it likely to be a problem with my USB cable?

The complete message is this: "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." Then it shows a picture of the USB root hub with four ports listed under it. Three are marked unused, and one is marked "unknown device" in boldface.

I've already tried reconnecting the cable and the camera and rebooting the computer.
