BLUSHING BRIDE & ENDLESS SUMMER

Chicago, IL(Zone 5a)

Can you please tell me the diff. of BLUSHING BRIDE & original ENDLESS SUMMER? I have a perfect part shade spot for a Hydrangea in a corner of my front garden. I am looking to get a new Hydrangea asap.

Thanks!

Here's a great side by side pic of them (2nd pic in the first row)

Blushing Bride is very pale colored, almost white so you won't notice much difference in its color with changes in soil pH, but Endless Summer will shift from blue to pink depending on your soil.

Otherwise they're very similar, they're both H. macrophylla mopheads which will bloom on new wood as well as old so they're more appropriate for your climate than the older H. mac cultivars that only bloom on old wood.

Indeed, I am replacing the older H. mac that just died on me. The old H. Mac stopped blooming for the last two years. Someone recommended that I covered it with a trash bag over the winter. I did and the granny probably got sufficated and did not shoot out any more new leaf. :-(

Thank you for your advice.
