Paul, is that a leave that it developed when you grew it in the bottle, if so the colour can come from it beeing sunburned due to not having any natural protection from the UV radiation. I had that happen to my MG:s last summer when I planted them outdoors and didnt let them get used to the radiation bit by bit.

I'm gonna take a pic of mine soon its gone crazy! lol

Four small leaves then a long shoot that went to the bottom. Now its throwing up more leaf shoots!

It grows about 2 inches a day!

am not sure about the leave Janet but it had 5 leaves in the bottle when i took it out
