Am feeling a little ashamed to be asking if this is a gumnut, if so what variety? as I've seen other colours,
many thanks
Is this what I think it is?
This is the Red Flowering Gum (Corymbia ficifolia) (previously Eucalyptus ficifolia): http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/140369/
definately red flowering gum[nothing to be ashamed of]
If it isn't a branch from a larger tree Cheryl.
then it's probably a grafted one, they flower from
a very early age and the colours are very beautiful.
Our local council planted the grafted ones in a musky pink
on our nature strips as a trial and they have done very well.
We are on a hill and they don't get much water.
Hello kennedyh, haven't heard from you since the cryptics.

Hi Seachanger, I am always around, if not always saying very much. This thread however is revived from 3 years back and perhaps predates the cryptics!
