I planted this white oak several years ago and I am noticing browning at the edges of the leaves. I can't tell if it's frost damage, or from the strong wind afterwards.
Most of our native coastal oaks have stiff leathery leaves within a week of leafing out, but these white oak leaves are delicate like tissue paper. It takes some getting used to.
Frost or wind damage?
Could be either, or both. The symptoms are similar.
