Where's my asparagus??

I live in central IL, we had some great warm weather earlier this spring and then... it got cold. Of course during this spell of warmth I had about 5 days worth of asparagus. Now that it is warming up again I am not seeing anything. Does anyone know because of the several nights of high teen low 20's temps if it will arise this year or is it going to take several more warm days?
