Hi! I was wondering how many of you remove the older, brown, papery layers from your hipps before planting them? I've seen some people do this and wonder what is the prefered method of planting these bulbs? I've never done it, but was told it was good to as it deters any nasty things from hiding inbetween those areas. Any info is gratefully appreciated!
All the best,
John
What is the prefered - new green or papery brown outer
I think it's all a matter of taste; I remove the papery layers.
Marsha.
I remove them. Either way you won't go wrong. It's a preference thing....
