It's alive!!!

Okay, I'll admit it . . . I have, on occassion, lost a plant due to over ambition and lack of time. Winter sneaks up so fast. I usually stick anything left over in the pot ghetto in my holding garden to over winter. I didn't do quite so well this year, and a few things that I knew could stay in pots did and others just had to make due. I took the small pots and stuck them under some over turned large storage containers that I use for transplants during the summer (OT: I drill holes in the bottom and they are great). Two such plants were little Niobes in 4" pots that I "rescued" from a big box store for $1 ea. I went out today to look at everything and remembered that I had stashed some plants under there. With trepidation, I picked up the little Niobes, and they have new growth! I will give them extra care this year and find a good home for them to make up for it. Clematis are the most amazing plants :-)

That is great! What a nice treat to find under those boxes!! I am sure they will do well. I just love clematis!
