Clematis With Smaller Blooms?

Denton, TX(Zone 7b)

New to Clematis and the addiction has hit hard. I'm looking for a white/green or pale yellow Clematis like Guernsey Cream only with smaller(around 2" or 3")blooms. Also love Henryi but it's supposed to have huge 8" blooms. Are there any Clematis like these but with smaller blooms? Would Roko Kolla or Little Nell be good ones? I've seen pics of these and they are gorgeous.

So far I have or have on order:

Alba Luxurians
Alionushka
Princess Diana
Betty Corning
Radar Love
Kermesina
Niobe
Pistachio
Roguchi
Dr Ruppel

Thanks, Jeanne. I do like both of those. Do you think the blooms on Roko Kolla are really large? I love the way it's white with the greenish colored bars. I may get it no matter how big it is....or Guernsey Cream.

Wished I could answer you but I am not growing Clematis "Roko Kolla" in my gardens...glad you liked...Jeanne

The texensis varieties, such as Princess Diana, all have smaller blooms and will stand up to Texas heat.

Thanks, Shirley. I have Princess Diana on order. Now I want to get a pretty white... either John Huxtable or Huldine. Which do you think is better?

Debbie would tell you John Huxtable..but tons of people love Huldine..what do you think Shirley?...Jeanne

I'm leaning towards Huldine although I've read that there's a shy blooming Huldine. I don't don't know how you would be sure to get the more generous blooming one. We'll see what Shirley says.

Oh gosh, they are both lovely! However, I lean more to Huldine because of the beautiful veining on her reserve side. Growing Huldine with another Clematis which accentuates the veining would be very appealing in my opinion. I'm sure whatever you pick will be beautiful!

I wish I had every variety of texensis growing in my garden because I find them to be not only beautiful, but their shapes add much interest in addition to their simple elegance. I find them irresistible!

Thanks, Shirley. I ordered Huldine from Silver Star. Hopefully it will be the one that's not the shy bloomer. Also ordered Palette..says it's similar to Walenburg. You know you can't order just one. :)
