the recent freeze blasted my crepe myrtles......I have a lot of them and some very large...the leaves are crinkled and dry.... I think they'll live, but will they bloom this year?

Yes, they should because they bloom on new wood. Feel free to prune affected, i.e. dead, branches. Large clusters of flowers should appear on the tips of new/old live branches beginning in early summer and continue into fall. The flowers will then fade and fall from the tree; fruit remains in the form of small brown capsules. These fruit remain throughout the winter and contain seeds. Luis
